Modon showcases Jeddah projects

The Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Modon) recently participated in an exhibition on projects in the Jeddah governorate at the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah.
The expo, organized under the aegis of Jeddah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Majed, aims to give residents and visitors an idea about the huge development that has taken place in the governorate over the past several years. The Modon pavilion showcases the industrial cities that have been completed and those under construction in Jeddah.
The prince was briefed on the models of the expansion of the Industrial City I, the launch of the Industrial City II and on the foundation laying of the Industrial City III when he visited the Modon pavilions.
Between 10,000 and 15,000 people are daily visiting the expo, in which 15 government departments are participating.
More than SR 530 million worth development projects have been implemented at the Industrial City II while development of new projects worth SR272 million is expected. The city sprawls over eight million square meters and all the allocations for industrial establishments are completed.
The Industrial City III, which covers an area of 80 million square meters, has been established with the aim of meeting the growing demand for land for industrial purpose. It currently has SR 500 million worth projects waiting for launch. The city expects to attract 900 industries with SR 15 billion.
Modon has also signed an agreement of development project for the Industrial City IV with an area of five million square meters at a strategic location 25 km away from the King Abdulaziz International Airport.
Modon, established in 2001, is responsible for developing and supervising industrial lands in the Kingdom.
